BASEBALL AT THE WANGARATTA RANGERS

The Wangaratta Rangers Baseball Softball Club is committed to creating a strong, inclusive community that supports player development at all levels, from juniors to seniors. We take pride in fostering a culture that values respect—for our club’s history, the game of baseball, umpires, opponents, and each other.

By promoting a team-focused approach, we aim to build a positive, united, and hardworking environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging and contributes to the success of our Rangers family.

TRAINING ETIQUETTE

All Senior players are expected to attend our Wednesday evening training each week
If you cannot make training, please notify your coach before hand either via phone or our Facebook chat
Each Player must be ready to go at least 5 minutes prior to each training session
Every player is expected to demonstrate commitment and be fully engaged in quality practice sessions
We appreciate players to help in the cleaning up of the diamond after each training session until all is finished
Players are expected to volunteer their time at least once to prepare a meal for the players after a Wednesday training session. Players are to RSVP via the Facebook chat poll that is created each week if they intend on staying so the meal can be accurately catered for. The cost is $10pp for a meal and drink (alcohol/softdrink included).

GAME DAY ETIQUETTE

A GRADE

All Players must be at the ground at 1pm on game day for warm up
Players are encouraged to support the B Grade before their game
Home Games Only - All Players must help in the cleaning up/raking of the diamond

B GRADE

All Players must be at the ground at 11am on game day for warm up
Players are encouraged to support the C Grade before their game and A grade after their game
Home Games Only - All Players must help in the cleaning up/raking of the diamond in preparation for A Grade game

C GRADE

All Players must be at the ground at 9am on game day for warm up
Home Games Only - All Players must help in the cleaning up/raking of the diamond in preparation for B Grade game

JUNIORS

Under 15's must be at the ground at 7:45am for both home and away games for warm up
Under 12's must be at the ground at 10am for both home and away games.
Home games we will require help in setting the diamonds up.
Home Games Only - All Players must help in cleaning up/raking of the diamond in preparation for the C Grade game

PLAYER & VOLUNTEER ETIQUETTE

Every player is encouraged to participate in all Rangers functions and events, contributing to our goal of becoming the best club possible.

All players are asked to dedicate a portion of their time to help with the club's operations through one of the following:
- Senior/Junior Umpiring Roster
- Junior Coaching/Training
- Canteen Roster for home games only [baseball season only]
- Fundraising Events
- Home game setup duties
- Working Bees at the grounds to keep up the maintenance and keep them tidy.

FEES & REGISTRATION ETIQUETTE

All Players are required to pay the Ranger Club and NEBA registration fees prior to the commencement of the season
If Fees can not be paid upfront, a payment plan must be entered in to prior to the commencement of the season
If Registration/Fees are not paid by the due dates, and payment plans are not entered into, you are not permitted to play or the team can be issued with a forfeit.
